# 1\. Preamble
## 1.1 Document Objectives
* Introduce users to the remote connectivity scheme provided by SafeMesh for remote access control capabilities.

## 2\. Function description
* With the remote control feature, you can access a remote internet software system deployed locally.
* In the office, you can access different regional system software by entering a specific domain name in your browser.
* The content of the remote access web page is the same as the on-premises web page, and the data is shared.
## 3\. Usage requirements
* Warning: System version number >= 1.0.20.
* Warning: The SafeMesh system is installed locally.
* Warning: The remote control feature can only be enabled within the LAN where the system is deployed.
* Warning: The local area network (LAN) on which SafeMesh is installed must have access to the Internet for the remote control function to function properly.
* Warning: Once remote is turned off, remote control is not possible unless remote control is enabled within the LAN where the system is deployed.
## 4\. Steps to use
### 4.1 Configuration page

Configure the path
Open the local system and go to the system configuration page.
Path: Settings -> System Settings -> Remote Connection
### 4.2 First Time Use Feature

First use
When the remote control feature is first enabled, a prompt pops up because there is no activation file on the localhost.
You'll need to follow the prompts to send the local key (and your desired domain name) to your system provider. You can upload the activation file when the system vendor is ready to send it to you.
### 4.3 Select Activate File

Select Activate File
After receiving the activation file, click "Click to upload activation file" and select the activation file.
### 4.4 Upload Files

Upload files
Click "Upload" to upload the activation file.
### 4.5 Configuration page after uploading the activation file

After configuration
You can see remote access domains marked 1 on the page. The button marked 2 can be used to toggle the function on and off.
### 4.6 Open Functions

Enable functions
Click on the button to activate the feature. You can click the back button to change the configuration.
### 4.7 Remote Access via Domain Names

Remote access
Remote access is possible by entering the domain name into the browser.
